What happens if there are issues or conflicts with the student?
Host families are encouraged to communicate openly and honestly with LCA staff if any issues or conflicts arise. Our team is available to provide support and mediation as needed to resolve any issues. 
Are there opportunities for cultural exchange and activities?
Yes, host families are encouraged to facilitate opportunities for cultural exchange and activities with the student, such as sharing meals, participating in local events, and exploring the community together. 
What happens during school breaks or holidays?
Depending on the student's visa status, they may return to their home country during school breaks or holidays, or they may stay with their host family. Host families should discuss plans and arrangements with the hosting organization and the student in advance. We encourage you to invite the student with you on any family trips. Students should be responsible for all expenses should they decide to attend with you.
Can I host more than one student at a time?
In some cases, host families may have the opportunity to host more than one student at a time. However, this depends on factors such as the size of the host family's home and the availability of suitable students. 
Can a single adult host a student?
Yes, single adults can host students, provided they meet the requirements for hosting and can offer a safe and supportive environment for the student. Single adults must be able to meet the emotional and practical needs of the student and may be subject to additional screening and support measures to ensure a successful hosting experience.
