Our Mission
To offer multi-subject instruction and tutoring tailored for LCA students at all grade levels, empowering them for lifelong-learning success.
Who and How We Serve
Pre-K to 12th grade students attending LCA who are cognitively capable of acquiring tools, strategies, and skills necessary to become confident and capable learners.
For example, a student might have difficulty with one or more specific language skills, particularly reading. Other areas of support may include spelling (decoding), oral and written expression (speech therapy), listening skills, reading comprehension, and mathematics. Vocabulary building services are also available to students learning English as a second language. Some students seek homework assistance and attend the Eagles’ Nest before and after school.
Instruction is provided weekly, from 40 minutes to 300 minutes (about 5 hours), depending on a student’s needs, goals, and parent requests. The Eagle’s Nest is a fee-based program based on the number of minutes provided. (Download the registration form for details and pricing.)
Students with a state ordered I.E.P. (Individualized Education Plan) who are accepted into Layton Christian Academy are required to receive weekly instruction to meet their Learning Goals Plan. The Director of Academic Services consults with the Davis County School District for guidance and eligibility.

A Message from Our Director of Academic Services
Get to know more about what makes us different.
Welcome to Layton Christian Academy’s Eagles’ Nest Learning Lab. We are thrilled to offer educational services that bridge the gaps in a child’s learning.
The LCA staff and faculty passionately believe that all children are uniquely gifted by God and that every student has the potential to move forward in their education when they are given the appropriate instruction and tools to do so. We are pleased to offer these tools in the Eagles’ Nest Learning Lab.

It is our desire to build confidence and love for learning in our students as they gain strategies to help them achieve their goals and reach their full potential. We also value a team approach and recognize that collaboration and cooperation with parents, teachers, and our Davis County School District consults will provide the optimum benefit of our Learning Lab to fully achieve every student’s goals. We are dedicated to working together, so each child is seen, and their needs are met.
