Costa Vida Fund Raiser!
Join all your LCA friends at the South Ogden Costa Vida on Thursday, September 11 between 6:00 and 9:00 pm! A portion of all sales during this time will be donated back to LCA!
Middle School Cheer Tryouts!
Cheer clinics for middle school (girls in grades 5 - 8) will be Wednesday and Thursday, September 17th and 18th, from 3:45 to 5:30pm. The girls need to wear shorts, a t-shirt and athletic shoes. They will be learning a short cheer and dance for tryouts. Tryouts are Friday, September 19th at 1 pm (1/2 day of school). The length of tryouts will depend on how many girls tryout.
The cost this year will be approximately $235 and covers their shell, skirt, bodyliner, briefs, shoes, poms and cheer bag. Any returning cheerleader from last year may use the uniform she purchased last year as long as it is in good shape and still fits properly. The cost for "returners" will be $26 for poms and cheer bag.
Also, any of last year's team members that might be interested in selling their uniform from last year, please contact the coach, Paula Buck at paulabuck1210@aol.com or 801-644-3252.

It?s not too late to sign up for our January trip to witness the presidential inauguration in WASHINGTON DC in January 2009 or the high school trip to LONDON and PARIS over spring break 2009. We will be having informational meetings the first Monday of each month to prepare ourselves and learn all about the place we will be visiting. The WASHINGTON trip meetings will be from 6:00 ? 7:00 pm, and the Europe trip meetings will be from 7:00 ? 8:00 pm. Due to the Labor Day holiday, our first meeting will be Monday, September 8. Even if you are not signed up yet come and learn with us about these exciting trips.
Mexico Missions - November 2008
Next year our annual Mexico Missions trip to Matamoros will take place in the middle of November. Cost is approximately $700 - $800. This trip is open to students in grades 8 - 12.
Presidential Inauguration Trip - January 2009
Our group is set to go! Besides witnessing the inauguration of our next president, we will enjoy touring our capital city and visit Williamsburg and Jamestown, Virginia.
This trip is for students who will be in 8th - 12 grade at LCA in 2008-2009 and will take place over high school's J-Term. We have decided to allow younger students (with good citizenship grades!) to attend if a parent goes along. LOG IN HERE, then type in Tour number 610958 , Account number 1503501, and Password 84040.
London and Paris - April 2009
Great news - we had enough people sign up before June 21 to enable our price to be locked for our trip to London and Paris next April (spring break) with Explorica! Flyers have been passed out with all the details and deposit info! This trip is for students who will be in Grades 9 - 12 at LCA next year! For trip details click here! Our tour number is Six-9253.
With this trip it is possible to receive college credit! Cost is about $135 each and the students have to enroll through the university, not through Explorica or LCA. Most of you are aware of the challenges associated with arriving and departing the school each day. Through the years, we have watched the traffic patterns and developed a flow plan that eases the congestion we all face.
Please take a few minutes to look over the diagram available at the link below. If everyone makes it a point to follow the suggestions, we can make the transition from the busy highway to our school parking lot as safe and smooth as possible.
