/Thursday Notes: September 7th

First and foremost, our thoughts and prayers are with those involved in the Weber Canyon fire this week. We are so thankful for God’s hand of protection on our LCA family, but can’t forget those who lost so much and the brave men and women who have been fighting the fires this week. We are grateful for you and our love and prayers are with you all.

Travel Club Fundraiser

Who loves flowers?  Who loves to get flowers? Right now, we have some Travel Club students selling Jimmy’s Flower cards as a fundraiser to help their trip to Greece.  You pay $30 and you get flowers once a month for FREE!  Simply take your card in and pick up your flowers from either location – Ogden or Layton.  That’s a $75 yearly value for just $30.00.  If you are interested in purchasing a card and supporting the Travel Club please see the Main Office for details.

Lunch Reminder

Just a reminder to those students who bring their lunch to school.  The school does not have supplies such as plates, forks, spoons, etc.  You must furnish your own each day.  Thanks in advance!!

We are approaching the end of the week–another week down, another week ahead and full of new possibilities and adventures. Our kids are certainly busy with activities and school going on and our own lives and work schedules keep us running, too!  Our worlds can seem chaotic and a blur at times with barely enough time to breathe. But it’s important to stop for a moment and appreciate the little things that we can so often take for granted; a nice conversation, a warm cup of coffee at just the right moment, or even the fact that tomorrow is Friday and we get a small reprieve with our family before we have to start up another week.

So, here’s to celebrating the small things and here’s to Friday! Happy weekend, everybody!
