Decisions are everywhere. They are constant and unrelenting. We face simple, everyday decisions such as where to have lunch, how many times we will hit snooze, or how you’re going to respond to the guy who just cut you off. But we also face much larger and weighted decisions such as what is best for your child, taking a new job, and whether or not you will choose joy or sorrow in life.
Say it with me, “Today, I choose joy.”
Now, you might scoff and say, “It’s not that simple.” But it is that SIMPLE just not that EASY. It’s hard and it’s a day-to-day struggle to trust and beleive that God really will work everything for our good (Romans 8:28). We don’t often have control of the circumstances we are placed in. However, we do have responsibility as to how we will react to those circumstances.
Difficult circumstances will arise, hateful words will be spoken, and sometimes things just won’t go the way wewant them to. But GOD IS GOOD and we must bring ourselves to the place where we really believe that’s truth. There are so many things that remind me of His love and goodness. Simple things like a kind, smiling stranger as you’re out and about, the sunrise coming over mountains, dinner with your friends and family, laughter, the very breath that you just breathed.
So, today–choose joy. Whether the road in front of you be one you chose or was chosen for you, choose joy. That will make all the difference.

Come with us to GREECE!
As our world becomes increasingly interconnected, it is critical for our students to become more culturally aware and globally-minded. To be able to experience the global classroom first-hand and see what they have been studying in their classes come to life is truly amazing. It gives them new perspectives- not only of themselves, but also of the world around them!
We are pleased to announce that we are taking students on an educational tour to Greece during April of 2018 (Spring Break). What is it like to live in a country where classical mythology and ancient history still have a presence in everyday life? In the capital of Athens, namesake of the goddess Athena, we will walk in the footsteps of ancient Greeks at the Acropolis – and in the footsteps of current residents in the Plaka district. In Delphi, Epidaurus and Cape Sounion, learn how an old belief in mythological figures still influences medicine, politics and philosophy.
Space for this program is limited!
