Middle School Activities and Clubs

Spiritual Emphasis Week

Each year we have a spiritual emphasis week. We split the middle school and high school into different “colored” teams to compete throughout the week. They enjoy many team-building games and have a great time earning points for their team. Not only do they have fun as a team but several well known speakers fly in from around the country and speak several times throughout the week. We also have several well known worship bands come and perform for the kids. The activites start on a Sunday night, continue through the day and night for three more consecutive days. Many lives are changed during this event.

National Junior Honor Society

Layton Christian Academy is a member of the National Junior Honor Society. Our seventh and eighth graders are eligible to apply for NJHS if they have a GPA of 3.7 or greater. Once accepted into the NJHS, we have an inducting ceremony and take them to a nice lunch. Officers are elected and they organize many events, fundraisers, and community outreach projects. It is a very successful club at LCA.

Christ Classic

Each year Layton Christian Academy is invited to the Christ Classic Tournament in SLC. The tournament consists of a geography bee, math bee, and a basketball tournament. This is a very challenging tournament and the students enjoy the competition
